So many people start a diet, an exercise program, a challenge of any type BEFORE asking themselves Question #1:
How badly do I really want this?
How badly do I really want to lose weight? Get fit? Accomplish whatever?
Our world is filled with marketing gimmickry that would have you believe there are shortcuts for anything. As a result, people embark on journeys with an incomplete understanding of one very important concept:
At some point, the process is going to be hard, painful, boring. If you are not prepared for that, don't bother starting.
The diet books, the fitness DVDs and the get-rich quick seminars all forget to tell you the reality of life:
NOTHING GOOD COMES EASY.
Keep in mind, I don't dispute that whatever you want is within your reach. I believe that anything is achievable with hard work, determination and will.
All I care about is that the people selling you stuff, tell you the truth: at some point, the process become ugly.
That's why you need to ask yourself Question #1 before you take off on your journey. Achievement is there for you, just don't fool yourself going in.
